Formed in 2002, the North Star Toy Dog Club is a small group of diverse members ranging from breeders to dog owners who compete in agility, conformation, obedience, rally, and tracking, as well as owners whose toy dogs main purpose is to be a companion.
Our membership base is mostly located from St Cloud, Minnesota to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, although members also live in various parts of Minnesota, North Dakota, and Iowa.
Saturday January 7, 2006 we held our first Sanctioned B-Match in conjunction with the Land O’ Lakes Kennel Club of St. Paul, MN. In our future we will also hold matches in obedience.
Saturday January 3, 2009 we held our last Sanctioned A-Match at the Land O’ Lakes Kennel Club show.
Sunday Feb 15, 2009 the acting Secretary informed the club that we received word from AKC that we are now licensed for obedience shows as well as conformation shows.
2010 will see us holding our very first Toy Specialty - Friday during Land O’Lakes Kennel Club show. |

Some of our Goals: —American Kennel Club (AKC) recognition. Once granted full status our goal is to hold a toy specialty with agility, conformation, obedience & rally in conjunction with the Land O’Lakes Kennel Club Show in early January.
—Offer an avenue for owners to socialize & have fun with their toy dogs.
—Offer a club for all toy owners where no parent club is currently available. |
